Welcome

Welcome to Emmanuel Baptist Church

We are excited about what the Lord is doing at EBC.  As we preach and teach the Bible as God’s Word, people’s lives are being changed and new people are being added to our number.  We sing the hymns that many people remember singing in church and enjoy each other’s fellowship before, during, and after our services and at other special events.  After attending our services, many people have made comments such as, “I look forward to coming to church again” or “Church is exciting to me again.” I’m confident that your experience at EBC would be equally positive. EBC is a place to make friends with people who really care! If you are visiting our site from Northwest Ohio, we’d like to invite you to visit us in person at one of our three weekly services.  We would love to meet you!

Thank you for taking the time to read this introductory information about EBC. We hope that you will check out the rest of our website.

Awana 2010-2011

EBC will kick off it's third year of sponsoring an Awana Club on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Awana is a children's program for kids age 4 through 6th grade. For more information about our Awana program, click here. New families are welcome to bring their children at any point in the year. Awana meets at the Kiwanis Building in Downtown Paulding every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. At 6:30 p.m. that night (at the Kiwanis Building on Paulding Square across the street from the court house) there will be a fun night with cotton candy and a giant inflatable inside the gym as parents sign up kids.

Our Catch the Fire... Keep the Fire Wednesday Night Youth Meeting also resumed Wednesday, September 22, at the Kiwanis Building as well. For more information about this Student Ministry, please click here

Finally, our Adult Bible Study moves downtown began Wednesday, September 22, to Jim Stykemain's Chevrolet. We invite you to come to the Kiwanis Building and look for other adults who will be heading to Stykemain's conference for a 7:00 pm start to this study.

The EBC Family extends many thanks to the Kiwanis and to Jim Stykemain for graciously allowing us to use their buildings. We thank God for you!

What's Special About EBC?

In conversations I've had with people who have visited EBC, there are 3 unique qualities that people typically mention that made their visit special. What are they?

1. Our People

In a word, the people of EBC are real. There's no putting on airs here. Our people are genuine, sincere, friendly people. Our people love the Lord and love other people and they go out of their way to make our guests feel welcome. New families that are interested in our church find that it is very easy to integrate into our church family because of this warm, family feel of our church.

2. Our Youth

Our youth are awesome. Though they are far from perfect and still have a lot to learn, they are excited about the things of the Lord. They love learning and love hanging out with each other. They also love to serve the Lord. The vast majority of our youth have a regular ministry here at EBC. Whether it is music, serving in Awana, working in the sound booth, or ministering in Vacation Bible School, our youth have learned that church is not about "me," it's about Him and others!

3. Our Commitment

Our church is committed first and foremost to God and His Word. We recognize the Bible as God's revelation of Himself to mankind and as the absolute authority in all areas of faith and practice. We believe the Bible has all of the answers to life's important questions, and we are committed to studying it, learning it together, and then living it. We are committed to EBC. We realize that the church is bigger than any one of us - in fact, it's so big that it's God's chosen vehicle for reaching the world for Christ! Finally, we are committed to each other. When one of us is hurting, all of us hurt. When one rejoices, we all rejoice. We really are a church family.
